Para hacer funcionar éstas nuevas opciones, es técnicamente inevitable, que todos los miembros existenes se afilien de nuevo. Por un lado puede ser molestoso, por otro lado es una oportunidad de actualizar la información.

Durante las próximas semanas todos los miembros "antiguos" serán invitados personalmente a afiliarse a la "nueva Hg-net" - esto tomará su tiempo. Si encontró ésta página accidentalmente, no espere de ser invitado - Suscribase al instante ! Todos están bienvenidos, "viejos" y "nuevos" ! Durante éste periodo de transición (hasta mayo) las páginas viejas se mantienen en linea - posteriormente serán borradas.

He hecho pruebas exhaustivas de los programas (en su mayoría hecho "en casa") con Netscape 4+ y Explorer 5+ y diferentes resoluciones de pantalla. Todo parece de funcionar, pero si usted dedecta alguna falla, por favor comuniquemelo al instante.

Las secciones interactivas de Noticias y Políticas todavía no son implementadas. Se encuentran en construcción, pero he considerado, que podemos aprovechar el tiempo para la "migración" al nuevo sitio web.

Actualización 12.4.2000:
El hecho, que más de 25 miembros de 13 países han ingresados a la nueva Web en el transcurso de la primera semana puede ser considerado como un éxito importante. Nuevos miembros siguen afiliándose diariamente.

Al mismo tiempo se continua implementando las opciones que al momento de lanzar las páginas todavía faltaron. Así, el día de hoy fue incorporado el Panel de Noticias.

In order to provide access to all new features, it is technically inevitable for all existing members to subscribe again. On one hand this might be an inconvenience, on the other hand it helps to update all information.

During the next few weeks all "old" members will be invited personally by email to resubscribe the "new Hg-net" - this will take some time. If you find this page by accident, please do not wait until you'll be invited, just subscribe right ahead ! All old and new members are welcome ! During this transition period (until May) the old pages (accesible from the main directory) will still remain online, later they will be deleted.

I did exhaustive testing of all scripts (most of them written by myself) with Netscape 4+ and Explorer 5+ and different screen resolutions. They appear to run fine, but if you detect any bug, please let me know (I never did any Perl programming before).

The message board for the News-Section and the Policy-Dialog are not yet implemented. They are still under construction, but I thought, we could use this time for the migration to the new site.

Update 12.4.2000:
The fact, that more than 25 members from 13 countries have signed up with the New Web during the first week can be considered an important success! New members continue to sign up daily.

At the same time the implementation of new features (features that were not yet ready at time of launching) continues. Today, for example, the News Panel was finally incorporated in the Website.
